The University of Split aims to become a recognizable European university that draws its strength from centuries of cultural heritage, spiritual and material legacy, and the fact that it is the cradle of Croatian statehood and literacy.
The University of Split’s primary task is to carry out educational, scientific research, artistic, and professional activities based on the principles of quality assurance, control, and compliance with EU standards. This commitment is extended to all its partner institutions, teaching bases, the local community, surrounding cities, and economic stakeholders. The University is a leader in transferring knowledge and research results to the regional economy, as a foundation for accelerated economic development, smart specialization, and environmentally sustainable societal progress.
The University of Split focuses on the holistic development of its students, both during their studies and through post-academic support and lifelong learning. It equally prioritizes the development and improvement of the quality of its teaching and non-teaching staff, who are the key drivers and creators of all major processes within the University. The University sees itself as a social leader that advocates for and promotes the highest moral, ethical, social, and economic principles and standards in the realm of public good, aiming at the development of the Republic of Croatia, the region, and the European Union.
