Parallel to the panels, the workshop EU VS. DISINFO: REGULATING BIG TECH AHEAD OF #EE2024 was held. Andrea Čović Vidović and Carmen Gruber from the European Commission Representation in Croatia educated students about the concept of disinformation and the fight against it, especially in the context of the upcoming European Parliament elections. They highlighted numerous methods and actions undertaken by the European Union to combat the problem of disinformation. Through independent analysis of social media, students applied what they learned in practice.
