Science Festival 2025.
This year's Science Festival, held for the twenty-third time from May 5th to 10th, included a series of activities at the Communication and Media Studies program in Split, aimed at connecting students and pupils with media practices through interactive and research-based workshops. The central theme of the festival was “Networks,” and the rich program brought together science, technology, media, and creativity.

The festival began on Monday with a research workshop titled “Media and Memory - Memorization through Different Media Formats” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nebojša Lujanović and Dr. Bruno Matijašević. Pupils from Skalice Primary School and the Second Gymnasium Split engaged with VR, video, audio, and textual content with the goal of examining how different media influence the understanding and retention of information. The activity encouraged reflection on the role of media in education and everyday life.

On Friday, May 9th, students from the Second Gymnasium actively participated in the journalism, video, and radio workshop “In the Web of Manipulated Information - The Visual Construction of Reality”, conducted under the expert guidance of Professor Viktorija Car, assistant Vanja Pavlov, and Antea Boko, in collaboration with Radio Kampus. Through writing reports, recording segments, and taking part in a radio broadcast, students gained hands-on experience and insight into the working environment of real media production.
The festival was not only an educational event but also a space for intergenerational connection—between students and pupils—through shared knowledge and collaborative creation. The atmosphere, filled with ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm, left a strong impression on all participants.
