In December 2023, our program participated in the University of Split Fair. This annual event showcases faculties, academies, study programs, and departments from Split and attracts thousands of high school graduates from all over Croatia. Prospective students have the opportunity to learn everything they want to know about their chosen field of study.
Our students quickly realized that prospective freshmen have many questions about university life, strive to fulfill their wishes, and aim to reach their ambitions. Every day during the fair, they warmly welcomed high school graduates at the information desk of our Communication and Media Studies program. They eagerly answered all questions about studying in our program, including lectures, exams, but also about the fun aspects of campus life, living in student dormitories, dining at the cafeteria, and student trips. New friendships were formed, and mentorships, support, and assistance were agreed upon between our current and potential future students.
The highlight of our program’s participation in the fair was an engaging event prepared by our students. It began with a welcome speech by the program coordinator, Prof. Dr. sc. Viktorija Car, who shared key information about the program. This was followed by a creative and humorous play that vividly depicted a slice of life as a student in our program. The event concluded with an interactive quiz that sparked a lively competitive spirit among the attending high school graduates.
We sincerely hope that many of them will soon become students of the Communication and Media Studies program!
